Biography

Tom Carrington (1843–1918) was a talented cartoonist whose work brought humor and social commentary to the Australian public during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. His artistic talents contributed to the development of visual satire and cartooning in colonial and early twentieth-century society.

Carrington's cartoons were valued for their wit and artistic merit, reflecting the concerns and culture of his era. He was interred at Brighton Cemetery, remembered as a skilled artist and keen observer of society.
