Biography
Václav Frič was a pioneering photographer whose work documented Prague and the Czech lands during the nineteenth century. Born in 1839, he was among the early practitioners of photography as an art form and historical record.
Frič's photographic legacy preserved important visual documentation of his era. He lived seventy-seven years and was laid to rest at Olšany Cemetery in 1916, recognized as a significant contributor to Prague's photographic heritage.
