Biography
Valentin Blatz emigrated to America as a young man and, through ingenuity and perseverance, rose to become one of Milwaukee’s most respected brewers. His name became synonymous with careful craftsmanship, and his breweries kept pace with the era’s expectations for quality and consistency.
He also gave generously to civic causes, trusting that healthy companies fuel healthy communities, and when he died in 1894 he was laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery, his legacy enduring in the fellowship he fostered across the region.
