Virginia Thrall Smith

Biography

Virginia Thrall Smith (1836-1903) was known for her deep care of children and families, helping to shape programs that offered shelter, schooling, and moral support for young people in difficult circumstances. She believed that every child deserved a safe place to learn and grow, and she spent her days ensuring that community institutions mirrored that belief.

She is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, amid the city she served so devotedly.
