Biography
Vladimir Argutinsky-Dolgorukov was a distinguished Russian art collector whose refined taste and cultural sensibilities reflected the sophisticated world of the Russian nobility. His passion for the arts made him a notable figure in cultural circles during the late Imperial period.
Following the upheaval of the Revolution, Argutinsky-Dolgorukov joined the Russian diaspora in France, where he maintained his interest in artistic and cultural matters. He was laid to rest at the Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery, a final resting place for many cultured members of the émigré community.
