Biography
Vladimir Lebedev (1879–1947) was a pioneering Russian aircraft pilot and aviation enthusiast who contributed to the development of aviation in Russia during the early 20th century. His work in aviation represented the cutting edge of technological advancement during a transformative period in aeronautical history.
After the Russian Revolution, Lebedev emigrated to France, where he continued to be involved in aviation circles and the Russian émigré community. He spent his later years in exile, maintaining connections with fellow Russian professionals who had fled the Soviet Union. He was buried in the Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery, where many Russian émigrés of distinction found their final resting place.
