Biography

Władysław Gruszecki was a Polish military officer who served in military capacities during the early Soviet period. His career reflected the complex international and military dynamics of the post-revolutionary era in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union.

Gruszecki was executed at the Kommunarka shooting ground in 1938 during the Great Purge. His death represented the fate of many foreign military personnel and specialists who found themselves caught in the Soviet Union's campaign of political terror.
