Biography
Wallace Crossley, born in 1874, served Missouri as lieutenant governor in the early 1920s, championing public education and the welfare of rural communities. His leadership reflected a belief that thoughtful governance could strengthen schools and give farmers a stronger voice in Springfield.
Even after leaving office he remained active in civic affairs, lending his voice to causes that encouraged neighborhood cooperation and opportunity. He rests at Sunset Hill Cemetery, where his commitment to public service is still recalled.
