Biography

Walter Norris Congreve rose through the ranks of the British Army, earning the Victoria Cross during the Boer War and becoming known for leading with bravery and a deep concern for the welfare of his men.

He served with distinction through the Great War and later in the Mediterranean, where he died while on sea passage, leaving behind a record of courageous command and dedication to duty.
