Biography

Walter W. Law built a landowning enterprise that helped shape the character of Westchester County, and he took pride in creating healthy, graceful communities. His foresight turned once-remote farmland into the village of Bronxville, known for its tree-lined streets and neighborly spirit.

His philanthropy funded public gardens and civic amenities, and he never lost sight of the people who lived amid the buildings he developed. Buried at Woodlawn, he is recalled for building both homes and hopes for generations to come.
