Washington Gladden

Biography

Washington Gladden, 1836–1918, was a leader of deep faith whose pulpit guided many through the challenges of industrial change and social upheaval; he is laid to rest at Green Lawn Cemetery.

His ministry and writings championed the dignity of labor and called congregations to embody compassion, leaving a legacy of moral clarity and service.
