Biography
Willard Bowsky (1907–1944) was an American animator whose energetic drawings helped define the look of the Fleischer Studios cartoons, turning characters such as Betty Boop and Popeye into internationally beloved stars.
He traded his animation desk for military service during World War II, was killed in action in 1944, and is interred at Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial.
