Biography
Willem de Tello was born in 1901 and developed a lifelong devotion to defending the rights of others. When war darkened the Netherlands, he joined the cause to restore dignity and justice to his people.
He worked within the resistance carrying out tasks that required discretion and courage, always conscious of the sacrifices involved. Executed in 1943, de Tello is remembered at the Dutch Honorary Cemetery Bloemendaal, where his legacy of bravery stands among other defenders of liberty.
