Biography

William Adams spent his life across the unfolding decades of the 19th century, answering the call of steady labor and close-knit community ties as the nation moved from its rural roots toward new industrial promise.

He kept faith with family and neighbors, and upon his passing in 1880 he was laid to rest beneath the serene canopy of Mount Auburn Cemetery where his memory endures.
