Biography

William Dennison Jr. rose from the printing press to political prominence, championing the Union cause as Governor of Ohio while guiding the state through the turbulence of the Civil War.

He continued his public service as Postmaster General, helping to knit the nation back together, and now rests at Green Lawn Cemetery with the gratitude of his fellow citizens.
