William Eichbaum

Biography

William Eichbaum was born in 1787 and became part of the Pittsburgh community during its formative years. He lived through the early decades of American independence and witnessed the region's development from frontier outpost to established settlement.

Eichbaum's life extended well into the nineteenth century, passing away in 1866 in the post-Civil War period. He was interred at Allegheny Cemetery, a final resting place befitting a long-time resident of Pittsburgh. His life spanned nearly eighty years of American history and Western Pennsylvania's growth.
