Biography

William Franklin (1730–1813) was an English politician and public figure whose career spanned the latter half of the eighteenth century and the early years of the nineteenth. Born in 1730, he participated in the political life of his nation during a period of considerable historical significance and social change.

Franklin's political service and public activities reflected the concerns and values of his era. His long life allowed him to witness and participate in many of the transformative events of his time.
