Biography
William George Billings was born in 1897 and answered the call to enlist when the conflict engulfed the continent, determined to do his part alongside the many other young soldiers of his generation.
He was killed in action in 1917 and is honoured on the Tyne Cot Memorial, where his name stands among those who paid the foremost price in the Ypres Salient.
