William Jackson

Biography

William Jackson (1759–1828) served the Continental Congress and the federal government with administrative skill, acting as a government official whose steady hand supported the workings of the republic during and after the war.

His later years brought him into touch with Christ Church, Philadelphia, where he joined other leaders in reflecting on the sacrifices and promise of the era that produced the new nation.
