Biography

Lieutenant William M. Corry, Jr. dedicated his short life to the United States Navy, becoming an early aviation pioneer whose bravery in rescuing fellow aviators earned him the Medal of Honor.

Even as the new field of naval aviation tested every pilot, he trained his comrades with care and humility, leaving a legacy of courage remembered by visitors to Eastern Cemetery.
