Biography

William Seymour, born in 1775, knew the bounce between frontier hope and emerging civic life, committing himself to the betterment of his neighbors through industriousness and benevolence. He was admired for his good judgment and willingness to lend a hand where it was needed most.

He joined his ancestors in Glenwood Cemetery in 1848, where visitors remember him as a generous soul who helped strengthen the bonds of community each day of his life.
