Businessman and mayor

Biography

Wolfe Londoner made his mark as a businessman in Denver before stepping into public service, and in both spheres he worked to channel the city’s rapid growth into positive results. He understood the challenges faced by a frontier city and promoted practical solutions for finance, transportation, and public order.

As mayor he strove to improve municipal services, support schools, and foster a civic pride that welcomed newcomers without losing touch with Denver’s roots. His commitment to fair dealing and to the principle that leadership is a trust endeared him to many residents.
