Biography

Woodbury Langdon was a prominent figure in Portsmouth's civic and social life during the eighteenth century. He witnessed and participated in the transformative events of the American Revolution and the founding of the nation.

Langdon's legacy is preserved in the records of Old North Cemetery, where he was laid to rest in 1805. His life, spanning from 1739 to 1805, encompassed a remarkable period of American history and development.
