Zerelda Mimms (1845-1900) brought quiet strength to her life beside Jesse James, sharing the burdens of notoriety and raising their children on the Missouri frontier.

When attention waned she tended the home and offered compassion to neighbors, and today she rests at Mount Olivet Cemetery as a reminder of a woman who held her family together through extraordinary strife.
