Biography

Zygmunt Bezucha was a young Polish military officer who represented the promising generation of leaders in Poland's armed forces. Born in 1912, he came of age during the interwar period and pursued a military career dedicated to defending his homeland and its sovereignty.

Lieutenant Bezucha's service was cut tragically short in 1940 when he fell victim to the Soviet campaign against Polish military officers. He is commemorated at the Katyn Polish War Cemetery, a solemn place of remembrance for those who gave their lives during this dark period of history.
