Abraham Ten Broeck

Biography

Abraham Ten Broeck (1734–1810) was a merchant of Albany whose commercial activities reflected the economic vitality of the Hudson River Valley during the late eighteenth century. He was engaged in trade during a period of significant commercial development in the region.

Ten Broeck's career as a merchant placed him among the commercial class that helped build Albany's prosperity. His burial at Albany Rural Cemetery reflects his standing within the community and his family's prominence in the city's economic and social life.
