Biography
Adalbert Czernin von und zu Chudenicz (1746–1816) was an Austrian nobleman and member of the prominent Czernin family, one of the most influential aristocratic houses in Bohemia. He lived through the dramatic transformations of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, witnessing the French Revolution, the Napoleonic Wars, and the subsequent reorganization of the Habsburg Empire.
As a member of the Czernin family, Adalbert maintained significant social and political standing throughout his life. He was interred in the Funeral Chapel of the Elevation of the Holy Rood in Šťáhlavy, a burial site reflecting his family's prominence and their deep roots in Bohemian history and culture.
