Alexander Bradley lived through the founding decade of Pennsylvania’s industrial rise and devoted himself to the quiet labors that sustain a city—tending his household, supporting friends, and welcoming newcomers to Allegheny. Born in 1812, he watched the town evolve from frontier village to bustling borough, offering steadiness and compassion to those around him.
When he died in 1899 he was laid to rest in Allegheny Cemetery, leaving behind the steady example of a citizen who cherished his community and took comfort in its growing institutions.
