Biography
Alfred E. Hunt (1855–1899) was a visionary industrialist and co-founder of the Pittsburgh Reduction Company, which would later become the Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa). His entrepreneurial acumen and investment in emerging industrial technologies helped establish Pittsburgh as a center of American manufacturing innovation.
Though his life was cut short at forty-four, Hunt's legacy endured through the company he helped establish, which became one of the world's leading aluminum producers and a cornerstone of American industrial development.
