Biography

Amy Post, born in 1802, was a tireless activist for abolition, women's rights, and the temperance movement, using her voice and home in Rochester as hubs for reform and spirited discourse. She hosted lectures, supported the Underground Railroad, and stood alongside fellow activists in demanding liberty and equality for all.

When she passed in 1889 she was laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery, where her legacy endures as a reminder of the power of persistent advocacy.
