Biography
Anton Coppola’s deep love of opera and symphonic music led him from a family steeped in music to the podiums of Opera Tampa, the New York City Opera, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where his warm, expressive conducting supported premieres of works by American composers and introduced audiences to richly textured scores.
He also shared his artistry as a teacher and mentor, guiding singers and conductors with patience and humor, and remained connected to the Calvary Cemetery community that honored his decades of service to the cultural life of the region.
