Benjamin Moore was a distinguished clergyman who served as a bishop in the Episcopal Church during a significant period in American religious history. His spiritual leadership and pastoral care were valued by his congregation and the broader religious community throughout his ministry.

Moore's ecclesiastical career spanned the Revolutionary period and the early republic, during which he helped guide the American church through a time of transition and growth. He lived from 1748 to 1816 and was buried in Trinity Churchyard, a place of honor befitting his service to the church and his community.
