Bernard A. Byrne

Biography

Bernard A. Byrne, a West Point graduate of the class of 1875, devoted his career to the United States Army, serving in frontier duty before taking part in the Spanish-American War and the Philippine campaign, where he oversaw logistics and troop movements with steady discipline.

In the years before his passing he continued to guide Army operations at home, maintaining the traditions of professionalism that marked his life of service and securing his place among those honored at Arlington National Cemetery.
