Biography

Born in 1929, Charles Calvin Rogers rose through the Army's armored and cavalry ranks, assuming command when his unit came under fire in Vietnam and earning the Medal of Honor for guiding his troops to safety.

He later shepherded mentoring and professional development efforts for officers, remained an advocate for veterans, and rests at Arlington National Cemetery.
