Cornelia Beekman was born in 1753 and lived through one of the most transformative periods in American history. She was a member of a respected family and maintained her place within her community throughout her long life.

Cornelia lived to the age of ninety-four, passing away in 1847. Her remarkable longevity allowed her to witness the birth and growth of the American nation, and she was laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery, a testament to her deep community roots.
