Pierre Van Cortlandt, Jr.

Biography

Pierre Van Cortlandt, Jr. was born in 1762 and inherited the Van Cortlandt family's substantial landholdings in the region. As a landowner, he maintained and managed significant properties, continuing the family's long-established presence in the Hudson Valley community.

Pierre lived to the age of eighty-six, passing away in 1848. His long life allowed him to witness tremendous changes in American society, and he was interred in Hillside Cemetery, where his family maintained a lasting presence.
