Biography
Daniel Daly (1873-1937) dedicated his life to service as a U.S. Marine, marching with his comrades through the Spanish-American War, the Philippine Insurrection, and the Boxer Rebellion while demonstrating a calm, steady courage that led to him being awarded the Medal of Honor twice.
In retirement he remained a symbol of Marine tradition, steadfastly supporting younger warriors and sharing stories of valor until his passing, and now he rests with honor in Cypress Hills National Cemetery.
