Biography

Dominic Tang, born in China, dedicated his life to the Jesuit order and endured years of imprisonment before resuming his pastoral ministry; he was later made a cardinal and spent his final years at Mission Santa Clara de Asís, offering spiritual guidance to a wide community. His calm devotion and unwavering faith helped guide both Chinese Catholics and those abroad who sought his counsel.

Cardinal Tang is remembered for quietly nurturing vocations, for the courage he modeled under adversity, and for the bridges he built among cultures by explaining the universal call to love.
