Eliza Cheever Davis

Biography

Eliza Cheever Davis was born in 1790 and lived a brief but notable life during the early years of the American republic. Though her years were few, she lived during a period of great intellectual and social development in New England.

Eliza Cheever Davis passed away in 1828 at the age of thirty-eight, her life cut short in the prime of her years. She was laid to rest in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a place of honor for those of distinction and promise.
