Biography

Flip Saunders's basketball journey began as a player at the University of Minnesota and evolved into a coaching career that took him from the Continental Basketball Association to the NBA, where he guided the Minnesota Timberwolves to multiple playoff appearances and later helmed the Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards.

Recognized for his calm leadership and basketball intellect, he also served in executive roles, nurtured young coaches, and remained dedicated to family and charitable causes even as he battled illness.
