Floyd B. Olson

Biography

Floyd B. Olson, born in 1891, rose to serve as Governor of Minnesota, championing progressive causes and fighting for labor and social justice. His bold leadership during the Great Depression offered hope to many and helped define the state's political landscape.

Though his life ended in 1936, the ideals he promoted endure, and he is commemorated at Lakewood Cemetery as a visionary who sought fairness for all.
