Biography
Gamaliel Bradford was an accomplished author whose literary works contributed to American letters during the early nineteenth century. His intellectual pursuits and written contributions reflected the cultural aspirations of Boston's educated classes during a period of national development.
Bradford's literary legacy is preserved in memory at the Granary Burying Ground, where he was laid to rest following his death in 1839 at the age of forty-four.
