Biography

George B. Cox became the guiding force of Cincinnati's political organization in the early twentieth century, commanding the trust of voters while overseeing the city's modernization through parks, sanitation, and public works.

Even as he exerted hardball tactics, he also financed charitable endeavors and lent his organizational gifts to civic causes, and after his passing citizens remembered him at Spring Grove Cemetery.
