Gustavs Klucis was a Latvian artist and graphic designer who made significant contributions to avant-garde art and Soviet visual culture. Born in 1895, he was known for his innovative work in photomontage and constructivism, which helped define the aesthetic language of early Soviet art and propaganda.

Klucis's artistic vision and experimental approach earned him recognition as a pioneering figure in modern art. His life was cut short in 1944 at the Butovo firing range, a tragic end that reflected the turbulent political circumstances of his era.
