Biography
Major General Harry Bluett Liversedge brought a calm intensity to the Corps’ toughest challenges, shaping amphibious doctrine and leading Marines through the hard-earned lessons of World War I and the global conflicts that followed. His leadership in both command and training posts helped prepare Marines for the rigors of combat across the Pacific and elsewhere.
In retirement he remained quietly devoted to the lifelong bonds of the Corps, honoring those who served alongside him and preserving the traditions that defined the modern Marine.
