Biography

Henry J. Heinz, born in 1844, built his company on a promise of pure food and honest business, pioneering practices in manufacturing and distribution that set new standards for the budding food industry.

He also believed in the responsibility of wealth, giving generously to schools and hospitals, and today his name is remembered fondly while he rests in Homewood Cemetery.
