Henry Vallette Warren entered the world in 1827, and throughout a lifetime that saw the nation stretch westward and settle into maturity, he was a dependable friend to those who knew him.

He died in 1906; his grave in Oakland Cemetery continues to remind visitors of his calm counsel and steady heart.
