Biography
Howard Pollock (1920–2011) served his country in the United States Navy during World War II before helping to build Alaska’s government as the territory became a state and ultimately representing it in the U.S. House from 1967 to 1971.
He approached every challenge with energy and a belief that resource development and strong national defense could coexist with care for Alaska’s people, leaving behind a tradition of civic duty for later leaders.
