Isaiah Doane

Biography

Isaiah Doane (1753–1805) was a man whose life coincided with the American Revolution and the founding of the United States. He lived during a transformative period that reshaped the political and social landscape of New England.

Doane's relatively brief life was lived during years of tremendous change and upheaval. His burial at King's Chapel Burying Ground reflects his family's connection to Boston's established community and its historic institutions.
