Jacob Bickler

Biography

Jacob Bickler (1849–1902) brought European training to the American frontier, founding schools where students learned both scholarship and discipline.

His tireless cultivation of teachers and pupils alike enriched communities across the state, and he remains warmly remembered at Oakwood Cemetery for his devotion to learning.
